Week 3: "A big week in profits and a free $220" | My Value Betting Journey from $1k to $2k

TOTAL PROFIT: +470 | WEEK 3 RESULT: +415 | 23/09/19 - 29/09/19

My third week using Trademate Sports resulted in my most successful week yet, profiting $415 for the week! This week was a bit of a roller coaster ride after a strong performance during the weekdays vanished with a poor showing on Saturday, at one stage l lost 24 trades in a row. But Sunday proved to be my most successful day on the job so far, making roughly $230 from around 70 trades.

Hitting the 500 trade mark

Once again I placed a high number of trades throughout the week (204), hitting my first milestone with Trademate on Saturday, surpassing the 500 trade mark. Although this doesn’t seem like much of a feat, if you refer to our article on Trademate user data, most people throw in the towel before this point, which is counterintuitive if your goal is to make as much money as possible. As you can see through the statistics, your chances of profiting grow as you place more trades. If you’re wondering how I’ve been able to place so many trades, it’s because I’ve figured out the ways to use Trademate as efficiently as possible, refer to this article for six quick tips.

I’m running well above my EV

Although I’ve experienced some success so far, I can’t get too emotionally attached to my profits, as over time, my results will get closer to my closing EV. My closing EV is $87, so I’m massively over-performing at the moment. No matter how I’m performing my goal remains the same, placing a high number of trades that have an edge over the bookies.

CoolBet bonus has been turned-over!

bookie breakdown

It took a lot of turnover before my bonus bet was considered withdraw-able money.

If you watched my Week 0 video, you might remember that when I made my first deposit of $220 into my CoolBet account, they gave me a bonus that was double that. With all bonuses, you have to turnover that money a certain number of times before it is withdrawable, and I achieved that during this week. So in a way, I’ve made a free $220 with CoolBet, which just highlights the importance of taking advantage of free bonuses when you open an account with a bookie. So I can account for my increased bankroll, I have chosen a random bookie that I don’t use and put my bonus money there.

Changes to my max bet size

As my bankroll has risen significantly due to the turning over of the bonus bet and my rising profits, so does my max bet size. As you’ll recall from my Week 0 video, my max bet is 2% of my bankroll. With my bankroll currently sitting a touch below $1,500, my max bet has no risen to $30.
